UFC 305: Dricus Du Plessis vs. Israel Adesanya Fight Card Preview

The main event saw Dricus Du Plessis defend his UFC middleweight title for the first time against two-time champion Israel Adesanya. “The Last Stylebender” lost his title in a shocking upset loss to Sean Strickland last year, and at UFC 305 his bid to win the belt for a third time was stifled by a fourth-round submission from Du Plessis.

The night’s co-main event was a huge flyweight tilt featuring Kai Kara-France and recent title challenger Steve Erceg. Kara-France was returning more than a year after his last appearance in the Octagon, and he successfully snapped a two-fight skid when he stopped Erceg with strikes in the opening round.
